We believe in God’s grace at work before we ever reach for God, in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and in the Holy Spirit who leads us into holiness of heart and life. Guided by Scripture, tradition, experience, and reason, we seek to love God wholly and to love our neighbors through both personal faith and active service. As John Wesley taught, Methodists are called to “do no harm,” “do good,” and attend to the means of grace through prayer, worship, and the sacraments. According to The United Methodist Church’s Book of Discipline, our faith is meant to shape how we live together as disciples for the transformation of the world.
